THE ARTIST. This image is from the shortened version of Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland (1865), The Nursery "Alice" (1889/90). The fantasy world on the other side of the rabbit hole has influenced literary retellings, artwork, music, film, and pushed the boundaries of the magical world by reminding us there is no limit to the madness or the creativity of the creator.

THE FINAL WORD. As William Morris said, "Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful."
